With Whom: Jason, Mark, Dug, Aaron, etc., etc.
Time: 5:30 and at work by 9:30
Ski Conditions: The snow was good up high in the protected trees, but really wind blown in anything that was more open. It was still fun to ski - fast - but wasn't your typical deep powder skiing.

Headlamps make for cool photos (that is the snowplow down below on the road).

At the top... just 3,000' down to the car.

We found a sensitive cornice.

We also found some skiing.
Yeah, that was quite the turnout. Surprising so many people can pull themselves out of bed at 4:30. Next time, I fully intend to have you break trail the whole way, and then kindly offer to take a pull for the last 25 feet.
ReplyDeleteDustin, great getting out with you. Hopefully the crowd wasn't too much. I'm not concerned that it wasn't a great picture day, because the skiing was plenty good.
ReplyDeleteIt was good to meet you. Your trail breaking skills are impressive. That last 500 feet through the pines was fantastic.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos!
Hope to get out with again soon.
